Thank you for your interest in the University of Evansville's Student Writers of Indiana Program. As part of our mission to help teach creative writing to students across the state of Indiana, we host an annual statewide creative writing competition for high school students that culminates with a writing conference for contest winners on the University of Evansville campus each fall. Cash prizes will be awarded.  September 30 deadline for submissions.

Additionally, all submissions will be considered for our annual anthology, which showcases students' best poems and short-short stories along with the winning contest submissions. The Department of Creative Writing at the University of Evansville distributes the anthology to high schools statewide free of charge.
